After much consideration, it has been decided that I’m going to attempt a Metropolis (1928) cosplay for Arisia 2012; specifically of Maria in half-human, half-robot form.  

Thinking of it as an opportunity to merge my interests in Weimar history with that of science fiction and cosplay, it would be an undertaking, but entirely worthwhile if things ended up coming together in a successful manner.  Being a costume that would be without question the most difficult I’ve yet to do, I’ll need your suggestions, Tumblr.

How would you go about creating a Metropolis themed costume?
